Vote in Three Easy Steps

Step #1

Register at your current address

If you’re not already registered to vote at your CURRENT address, you’ll need to register or send in an updated voter registration form. Not sure if you are registered? Check your voter status here.

Before October 11, 2022 at 5:00 pm: Mail your voter registration form to the County Election Office.

Up until November 8, 2022 at 8:00 pm: Bring your voter registration form to the County Election Office. You CAN register to vote on Election Day!

Gallatin County Election Department: 311 W. Main, Room 210, Bozeman, MT 59715

Call or email the Gallatin County Election Department with questions:

Step #2

2. Receive your ballot

Voting from the comfort of your home is easy in Montana. When you register to vote, check the box to “Receive your ballot in the mail” and you’ll receive your absentee ballot at your mailing address.

Absentee ballots will be mailed starting on October 14, 2022.

If you’re already registered but not for an absentee ballot, fill out and return this form to the Gallatin County Elections Department.

Step #3

3. Vote! (Return your ballot)

Vote from the bottom of the ballot to the top. Local elections, like mine, impact you most directly, so make sure your voice is heard and you participate fully in this election.

Once your ballot is complete, return by mail or drop it off at the Gallatin County Election Department.

Mail: Put it in the mail NO LATER than November 1, 2022 to ensure it arrives on time.

Drop off: By 8:00 pm on November 8, 2022. Late ballots are not accepted.

You can track your ballot to confirm that it’s been received and accepted.
